ADOPTION AND AMENDMENT OF THE CONSTITUTION

  1. ADOPTION
  2. The constitution shall become operative upon its approval by the members of AMES and its endorsement by the head of department

  3. AMENDMENT
  4. i) This constitution is subjected to amendment or review after 5 years

    ii) Any member or group of members from the association can call for an amendment of this constitution in part or in whole by submitting such request to the respective chairpersons of the judicial board one clear month before a general meeting where the proposals for the amendment shall be deliberated upon

    iii) The PRO shall put the proposed amendment(s) on the notice board as been directed by the judicial board at least 2 weeks before general meeting

    iv) An amendment proposal shall be accepted if it gains two third support of the members present at the meeting through voting

THE JUDICIAL OATH

I………………………… Having been appointed as a member of the AMES Judicial Board, do hereby in the name of God solemnly Swear that I will interpret the AMES Constitution without fear or favour and to defend and upload the constitution and to adjudicate on all matters that shall be brought to the judicial board without affection, ill will or personal interest. I further solemnly Swear that I shall not be found wanting in the discharge of my responsibilities as a member of the AMES Judicial Board or place myself in such a position as to frustrate the efficient functioning of the said Judicial Board of the AMES. And should I at any time break this Oath I shall submit myself to the AMES constitution and suffer the penalty there from.

  • To be sworn before the Head of the Department or such other person as the HOD may designate, administered by the AMES Chief Justice.


  • SWEARING IN OATH BY NEW EXECUTIVES OF AMES

    I………………………… do hereby pledge on my honour to render selfless and dedicated service to AMES and the student body in my capacity as the ……………………….. I also promise to abide by all the rules and regulations of AMES constitution and the University as a whole. I further solemnly swear that I will avail myself at all times to the service of AMES and the entire student populace. I shall protect the image of the Association (AMES), and the University as a whole at all time and shall place the interest of AMES and the University over above my personal interest.

    And should I at any time break this oath, I shall submit myself to AMES constitution and suffer the penalty there from.
    So help me God.

  • THE OATH OF ALLEGIANCE

    I ………………………….do (in the name of the Almighty God swear) that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the AMES as by law established; that I will upload to sovereignty and the integrity of the University and that I will preserve protect and defend the constitution of the AMES.

  • THE OATH OF SECRECY

    I…………………………… holding the office of …………………………………………… do in the name of Almighty God swear that I will not directly or indirectly communicate or reveal to any person any matter which shall be brought to my consideration or shall come to my knowledge of my official duties or as may be specially permitted by law.
