- GENERAL FUNCTIONS OF EXECUTIVE COUNCIL They shall:
- GENERAL FUNCTIONS OF THE CORE EXECUTIVE The Core Executive shall;
(i) Be the highest governing body and final authority on all issues relating to AMES
(ii) Deliberate and approve all programmes and budgets of the various committees of the association
(iii) Shall serve as the link between the University administration, SRC and other recognized students organisation in and outside the University
(iv) Vet and Approve annual budgets and programmes within 3 weeks in the first semester
(v) Make nomination for appointment of members to represent members on committee and ad-hoc committee of the association
(vi) Shall form and dissolve at any time any of the committee(s) whose continuous existence is considered undesirable for the welfare of the students
(vii) Shall be consulted by the core executive before all major decisions are taken
(viii) Appoint at any time a commission or committee of enquiry that shall probe any alleged malpractice or matters that affects the general welfare of the association (ix) Promoting of general welfare and interest of students
(i) Be responsible for coordination and execution of policies of the association and serve as a link in matters relating to staff, or the Department and other students
(ii) Meet and draw up the agenda for all meeting of AMES
(iii) Meet to draw up programmes for the Association and to be approve by council
(iv) Keep an inventory of all AMES properties and regularly update them
(v) Properly handover all AMES properties and relevant document to the succeeding executive
(vi) Shall have a casting vote at all meetings
